Actor Shah Rukh Khan and music composer Anirudh’s final outing collectively, Jawan (2023), had given us chartbusters like Chaleya and Zinda Banda. So naturally, once they introduced their reunion for Khan’s subsequent, King, expectations have been sky excessive.
Nevertheless, because the time neared the discharge of the movie (December this yr), a chunk of stories dampened followers’ spirits: Anirudh, attributable to his skilled commitments and upcoming wedding ceremony to Kavya Maran, was not having the ability to dedicate sufficient time for King. And with SRK and director Siddharth Anand eager on attaining the Christmas launch, they amicably parted methods with Anirudh. Sachin-Jigar have been introduced on board, with Anirudh gifting the theme of King to SRK as a gesture. This was reported final week.
Nevertheless, the timeline of the swap would not appear to be current. And Singer Ed Sheeran’s newest Instagram submit on Tuesday may have revealed it.
He posted a BTS of recording the tune Tu Mil Jaaye with Sachin Jigar. It’s Ed’s Bollywood playback debut. He apparently wrote within the caption, “… Final time i used to be India i went to his home to get him (Shah Rukh Khan) to shoot a cameo within the Sapphire music video for me and @arijitsingh. He launched me to @sachinjigar that day and that i wrote and recorded my verse for Tu Mil Jaaye for his film King that evening…”
Sapphire’s music video, for starters, was launched on YouTube in June 2025. And Ed had shot for it in early 2025- when he was on tour in India all through January-February.
