For a time, it appeared just like the MCU was almost always releasing new live-action TV reveals, from Loki and WandaVision, each of which proceed to be broadly considered among the many franchise’s greatest reveals up to now, to others that didn’t carry out fairly so properly, corresponding to Secret Invasion. Maybe as a result of a few of these reveals didn’t discover success, Marvel and Disney have noticeably slowed down on rolling them out. Fortunately, MCU followers are nonetheless getting one key collection, although, and that’s the upcoming present VisionQuest, which drops on Disney+ on October 14. The collection, because the identify suggests, facilities on Imaginative and prescient, particularly after the occasions of WandaVision (thereby concluding the so-called Wanda trilogy of reveals). There has, unsurprisingly, been loads of hypothesis about what this present might subsequently have in retailer.
Amongst these main questions are whether or not the present may have a direct tie-in to Doomsday, particularly as a result of it is going to be hitting Disney+ earlier than that film arrives in theaters, and whether or not it may imply the long-awaited return of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch—a return that isn’t assured however many followers are nonetheless anticipating. Each solutions had been anybody’s guess, though in addition they simply each grew to become more likely following information of VisionQuest’s launch schedule. Particularly, it was beforehand extremely anticipated that VisionQuest would totally conclude earlier than Doomsday arrives, but it surely wasn’t confirmed. Now, we all know for certain that VisionQuest shall be over first—and meaning it’s much more possible for the present (and its characters) to have some bearing on Doomsday, even perhaps in a method that connects to Wanda.
The VisionQuest Story Might Proceed in Doomsday
Already, trailers for VisionQuest have confirmed that the present shall be a household reunion of types. On the very least, Imaginative and prescient and Tommy shall be reuniting, with Imaginative and prescient having to come back to phrases with the truth that the Westview household really was actual. Tommy, for his half, appears to be on the hunt for Wanda, as he’s proven in a single clip saying he had a mom. On condition that Agatha All Alongside additionally concluded with Billy and Agatha searching for Tommy, it appears secure to imagine that, at minimal, Billy, Tommy, and Imaginative and prescient will come again collectively. After all, if that reunion is proscribed to only these three members of the family, audiences shall be outraged, because it was Wanda who most desperately wished her household, and she or he’s now (seemingly) useless. But, this may very well be precisely how VisionQuest ties into Doomsday.
The most important principle about how Wanda may return is presently that the MCU may comply with the arc within the comics during which Tommy and Billy come collectively to seek for her and in the end discover her with Doom (and with none reminiscence). This could clearly be a match for Doomsday, as Doom as the first antagonist. Theoretically, VisionQuest may arrange Billy and Tommy coming collectively for this mission—even perhaps together with Imaginative and prescient—after which Doomsday may present them discovering Wanda. For now, that’s hypothesis. Nonetheless, the affirmation the VisionQuest will totally conclude earlier than Doomsday is launched has made it appear rather more doable.
