Luke Littler moved a step nearer to his first clear sweep of majors in a single 12 months with a hard-fought win over Nathan Aspinall in Amsterdam.
Littler, the 2024 champion who was crushed 11-7 by Michael van Gerwen in final 12 months’s last, edged out Aspinall 10-9 within the World Collection of Darts Finals second spherical, taking the final two legs in a see-saw contest.
Earlier on Saturday, Gerwyn Value defeated Jim Lengthy 10-5 and James Wade noticed off Wessel Nijman 10-7.
Luke Humphries crashed out with 10-9 defeat to Dirk van Duijvenbode, within the afternoon session, whereas Josh Rock secured a 10-7 win over Ryan Searle and Ross Smith beat Daryl Gurney 10-5.
Gian van Veen prevailed 10-7 in opposition to Karel Sedlacek and Jonny Clayton battled previous Motomu Sakai 10-8.
The semi-finals and last will happen from 6pm on Sunday, following the quarter-finals within the afternoon.
