Though Avengers: Doomsday is at present (and understandably) getting appreciable consideration from MCU followers, earlier than that blockbuster hits the large display screen, the newest Avengers film, Avengers: Endgame, is getting a brand-new re-release, titled Avengers: Endgame Encore. So far, what precisely the modifications to this film are have remained totally underneath wraps, though there are seemingly 4 extra minutes of run time for this new lower of the film. That would imply the identical film however with extra scenes bumping the general run time up by 4 minutes or extra vital modifications involving cuts to what was proven earlier than and much more Encore additions. For now, we don’t know. What we do know, although, is that Endgame Encore, for higher or worse, is being seen as important viewing forward of Doomsday.
Along with proving pretty controversial as a result of that suggests Endgame wanted to be adjusted to totally match with Doomsday—however we don’t know that for positive but—this additionally means that the occasions of Endgame might have brought about Doomsday ultimately, whether or not that’s as a result of Iron Man’s use of the Infinity Stones, the truth that the Avengers time traveled in any respect, or one thing else. With that in thoughts, it will make sense for Endgame Encore to current at the very least a barely totally different view of the movie, maybe whereby the ending doesn’t really feel fairly so heroic and definitive however reasonably signifies that issues aren’t going to remain calm for lengthy. Now, a brand new teaser for Endgame Encore has been launched and suggests precisely that, but it surely’s much more unsettling than I imagined.
The New Endgame Encore Teaser Is Downright Creepy
A brand new Endgame Encore teaser shared by Marvel Leisure on X options clips from the unique lower of Endgame with no added footage. Nonetheless, even with out together with the additions that can in the end be featured in Encore, this seems like a really totally different film in tone alone. Particularly, the teaser is edited with a music within the background that’s downright creepy, and it provides the clips a deeply ominous feeling, which is a serious change from how thrilling, highly effective, and heroic they appeared within the authentic Endgame lower. This appears to bolster the concept that Endgame Encore might reveal that issues weren’t fairly so resolved after Endgame and now, in Doomsday, the Avengers will face a brand new impediment straight tied to all that transpired in Endgame.
Actually, bolstering that concept is Physician Doom himself, who, in one of many teasers for Doomsday, tells the Avengers that they’ve been dwelling stolen lives. It’s attainable that it is a reference to their so-called time heist in Endgame and the truth that they had been capable of convey everybody again when, theoretically, perhaps they weren’t ‘supposed’ to. If that’s the case, then their acts of heroism and their seeming victory in Endgame will surely be introduced into a brand new gentle—one way more in step with this creepy music within the teaser for Encore than it’s with the unique tone of Endgame. Fortunately, in relation to Encore, MCU followers solely have just a few extra weeks to attend, as the brand new lower of the film is hitting theaters on Sept. 25.
