B.C.’s chief coroner envisions course to arrange folks past TV ‘preconceptions’


BURNABY – British Columbia’s chief coroner says the work of the coroners service will not be just like the portrayal in crime scene tv reveals, and people who tackle the job may discover it’s not for them.

Subject coroners in B.C. are recruited from many walks of life with investigative backgrounds, and the enhance to their wages to $49.77 per hour went into impact final month. 

Baidwan says the province employs between 50 and 80 subject coroners, and the service is seeking to recruit extra folks in a number of B.C. communities for the on-call positions, with the workload various extensively between rural and concrete areas.
