The immersive new work, commissioned by 180 Studios, expands on concepts explored in his acclaimed data-verse venture.

Ryoji Ikeda’s new set up, exhibiting now at 180 Studios, has been prolonged till 1 February, 2026, on account of standard demand. Tickets can be found now from the 180 Studios web site.

Commissioned by 180 Studios, data-cosm [n°1] is described as “a complete sensory encounter that transforms huge datasets into an immersive audiovisual setting, exploring the intersection of artwork and physics on an unprecedented scale.”

The set up, which invitations guests to lie down beneath an enormous LED ceiling whereas being enveloped by Ikeda’s soundscapes, “charts the complete spectrum of knowledge in nature – from the microscopic world of particle physics to the macroscopic scale of astrophysics.”

Ikeda’s new work expands on concepts first explored in his acclaimed data-verse venture, and is working alongside Paradigm Shift, an exhibition exploring revolutions in shifting picture tradition from artists together with Mark Leckey, Arthur Jafa, Derek Jarman, JulianKnxx, Martine Syms and Andy Warhol.
