On this new sequence, the zombies took over New York Metropolis, as they at all times do, and there are heroes and villains who’re was the undead, all nonetheless possessing their powers and attitudes. These zombies even have one widespread enemy, as there’s nonetheless one hero in New York Metropolis who stays uninfected, and he’s killing each zombie he can discover with out regret. In fact, this is able to be the Punisher, and there’s no higher individual to tackle the zombie apocalypse. There’s additionally one other distinction. The zombie outbreak is contained in New York Metropolis, as is Frank Citadel.
In Marvel Zombies: Conflict Zone #1 by Tom Waltz and Jaime Infante, the containment that saved the remainder of the world from the zombie infestation was because of at least Reed Richards, whose preparation was proven to perfection right here.
Reed Richards Saved the World In New Marvel Zombies Sequence
Marvel Zombies: Conflict Zone opened like many of the Marvel Zombies sequence did, exhibiting the infections beginning after which exhibiting the heroes falling. Nevertheless, the distinction right here is that the apocalypse was began by a mutant villain named Gorgon, who led a horde of former Hand Ninjas turned zombies into New York Metropolis to start out slaughtering everybody and turning anybody and everybody into zombies. After exhibiting heroes like Thor, Iron Man, and Shang-Chi dying terribly, the twist got here subsequent when a large drive discipline rose across the metropolis, enclosing it and separating New York Metropolis from the world.
This was all because of Reed Richards, though only a few individuals knew about it on the time. Heroes like Captain America, the Implausible 4, Wasp, Ant-Man, and extra escaped and ended up on a SHIELD Helicarrier above town. When Cap wished solutions, Reed defined that all of it went in accordance with plan. Solely two different individuals overtly understood this. Ant-Man defined that the drive discipline was a contingency plan he and Reed labored on alongside SHIELD to comprise any potential outbreak which may occur in New York Metropolis that the heroes couldn’t cease.
Reed Richards truly got here up with a plan to encase all the metropolis in a drive discipline to at the least reduce the harm, which might simply have unfold to the cities past New York Metropolis if not for his planning for the longer term. Iron Man additionally knew about it, as Tony Stark was bitten and was in a position to hit the button to surround town earlier than he died and was a zombie. Nick Fury then defined that Reed had the concept of the best way to save the remainder of the world, however he had a person on the within who might assist remedy the issues in New York Metropolis.
The Punisher May Be the Finest Protagonist In Any Marvel Zombies Sequence
Fury defined there is no such thing as a manner inside, and in the event that they attempt to break the barrier, there’s a fail-safe that may kill everybody within the metropolis. Nevertheless, he then stated to not fear as a result of he had an “asset” on the within. This asset was Frank Citadel, the Punisher, and he’s the most effective protagonist in any Marvel Zombies sequence. Within the former sequence, there have been heroes like Black Panther attempting to carry society collectively. In others, Spider-Man was attempting to do what he might to guard the residing. Nevertheless, on the subject of the Punisher, he’s a stone-cold killer, and he proved on this problem why he’s the most effective guess in opposition to a zombie apocalypse.
He killed Iron Man in the beginning, and he didn’t have many issues doing so. He has spent his total life mendacity low, so he stays hidden from Gorgon, even when the villain has Thor as one in every of his servants now that the God of Thunder has was a zombie. One of the best half is that, out of all of the heroes and antiheroes in Marvel Comics, the Punisher is the one who has the least variety of qualms on the subject of gunning down a former hero who has turned. Spider-Man had a disaster of religion when he needed to kill his previous pals. The Punisher by no means faces these struggles.
This sequence can also be sensible in calling it Marvel Zombies: Conflict Zone, as Punisher: Conflict Zone is one in every of Frank’s greatest solo comedian sequence, and this permits him to return to warfare, however this time within the streets of New York Metropolis, and with an precise function in life.
