The police gave the title of the accused as Sushma Annappa Naika, 31, who hails from Bhavikeri village of Ankola taluk.
Ms. Nikita was staying with three different working ladies in one of many 5 rented rooms in Sudarshan advanced in Shanti Nagar of Manipal.
