Though the MCU typically has struggled since Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga in 2019, there are a number of tasks which have been significantly criticized, and 2023’s The Marvels is, sadly, positively on that checklist—however that film might quickly be redeemed. The Marvels introduced collectively three important heroes: Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau. Collectively, they had been successfully forming a brand-new superhero group (the titular Marvels), and that had thrilling implications for the longer term, particularly as soon as the post-credits scene in The Marvels revealed that Monica had discovered herself in one other universe.
Maybe partially due to the damaging response to the film, although, these characters haven’t but been seen once more. Much more shocking, not one of the three are at the moment confirmed to be showing in Avengers: Doomsday. Nonetheless, a brand new rumor has instructed that this trio will lastly be reunited within the follow-up Avengers film, Avengers: Secret Wars, slated to hit theaters subsequent 12 months. Presumably, this is able to imply the group coming again collectively to assist the opposite Avengers tackle this newest risk, which might particularly make sense provided that we already know Nick Fury is returning in Secret Wars. But, even when that is the reunion for the complete group, there may be one particular character from The Marvels that’s nearly assured to be showing earlier than Secret Wars, in Doomsday.
This Reunion Might Occur in Secret Wars, However One in every of These Characters Will Possible Seem First
As talked about, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Monica Rambeau haven’t been introduced as being among the many characters showing in Doomsday. There are, after all, rumors about all three of them nonetheless showing, and with Ms. Marvel specifically, many followers are satisfied that with the position of different characters, like Cassie Lang and, rumor has it, Kate Bishop, it might make sense for her to seem. Nonetheless, the probably character of the trio to be enjoying a job in Doomsday is definitely Monica, who, actually, feels all however assured to be within the movie. That is particularly due to The Marvels’ post-credits scene by which Monica winds up in not simply any universe however the X-Males universe.
With the X-Males confirmed to be enjoying a major position in Doomsday, it feels subsequent to not possible that Monica gained’t be showing in some capability within the film, though it feels much more doubtless that she will probably be pretty essential. It’s odd, in mild of that, that Marvel hasn’t indicated that she will probably be in Doomsday, however there are little question many characters who’re going to be surprises, and Monica may definitely be amongst them. That doesn’t essentially imply this different rumor is fallacious, although. If something, Monica may return in Doomsday, after which the complete trio may have their reunion in Secret Wars.
