The Bench termed the apprehensions as “wholly unfounded” and distinguished its earlier order in the same case associated to ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’ wherein it had requested the producer to vary the title of that film.
“The expression ‘ghooskhor’ in English means corrupt. Subsequently a damaging which means was being hooked up to the neighborhood. Within the on the spot case no such negativity is hooked up to the Yadav neighborhood. The petitioner had alleged that the title created an offensive stereotype towards the neighborhood and raised issues over the depiction of the feminine lead.
Through the listening to, the counsel for the petitioner argued that whereas they don’t oppose inter-community marriages, the movie’s portrayal of a lady was unacceptable.
“A woman can’t be publicised this manner,” the counsel stated, including that the movie claims to be based mostly on a real story.
Nevertheless, the Bench remained unconvinced, categorising the movie as a piece of fiction.
